You get the notion that Neil wrote this knowing it would be the last Rush song he would write, and this is his farewell statement? Not that Neil predicted his death, just his retirement.

I was a Neil Peart fanatic and taught myself to play drums listening to him in my teens. While I was always enthralled by his playing and Rush's instrumental prowess overall, I really didn't pay much attention to Neil's story telling (I was a kid) These days? I am equally impressed by his writing as I was almost 50 years ago with his drumming. Neil saw the future we are about to experience. Scheming Demons dressed in Kingly guise? Beating Down the multitude and scoffing at the wise? Ancient nobles showering their bitterness on youth? Sounds to me like Neil recognized Globalism and identity politics early. We are blessed to be living in interesting times. Neil would be having a heyday. RIP Professor

Back again! There are no limits to the superlatives attributed to this song and RUSH. As were, the best band ive ever seen. The World is poorer for the loss of Neil Peart. Amen.

I remember seeing Rush play any our high school Woburn C.I. That would have been around the time the first single was released on Moon records. We had never heard of them, but, by the end of the show, we all thought they were quite good.

How can Geddy Lee play keyboard and bass at the same time??? Because in this video he doesn't play keyboard and bass at the same time, even though we hear both instruments playing at the same time??? So either the keyboard is recorded or the bass is recorded.
